What's the Role of Brainwave Entrainment in Self Help?

Making Aunt Pat's Brain MachineImage by Collin Mel via FlickrThe world of hypnosis and mind control was recently enhanced by what is called brainwave entrainment. This new phenomenon refers to the neural process of stimulating the brain through the senses with the use of sound and light.

Every time the brain is stimulated using the senses, its response is to release an electrical charge that travel through the brain to form a perception of what you see or hear. Brainwave entrainment, which is also called brainwave synchronization, aims to create a specific type of electrical response by stimulating the brain at a particular frequency.

How It Works. The brain is first lulled into a particular frequency, usually one that is lower than the frequency of the brain during the conscious state, then stimulated using a created recording of pulsing beats or tones. What happens is that you get to control the electrical charge the brain responds with, thereby controlling what becomes the person's thoughts.

To lower the brain's frequency and stimulate it at that frequency, you need to have an audio specifically created for the purpose. If you are knowledgeable in sound editing, it is easy to make brainwave entrainment audio recording using any sound editing software you use. However, you can also easily purchase some ready made recordings online. In fact, you can choose from audio designed to entrain the brain to a particular brainwave, which can be alpha waves, beta waves, delta waves, or theta waves.

What Can It Do For You? Brainwave entrainment has become quite a phenomenon because of its significant influence on people's thoughts, which therefore give it an influence over people's actions, behavior, and life in general. Through this process, you can program your mind to think in a certain way.

That's why it is widely used in the self help realm. People who want to change their lives have to change their perspectives. After all, like the saying goes, life is what you think it is. And the fastest way to change this without having to talk to a shrink is through self help using brainwave entrainment.

There are now a lot of self help brainwave entrainment products, and a lot of people have enjoyed positive effects from them.

Why It's Better Than Hypnosis. A lot of experts are now pointing to brainwave entrainment as the newer and more effective self help mind power weapon compared to hypnosis. Entrainment is considered as a more exact science because it has a direct effect on the brain, which manifests in actual and very specific brain responses, making it a more convincing self help tool.

On the other hand, you access that place in your mind but you don't have any control on where you go next. This is why, when in a state of hypnosis, you can still be influenced by dreams, flashbacks, repressed memories, and so on, which can weaken the positive messages you are sending to the brain.

Also, brainwave entrainment is something you can easily do on your own, so you hold the power of your mind instead of place it in someone else's hands, while hypnosis often requires another person and can be very hard to learn to do on your own.

Lucid Dreaming Through Brainwave Entrainment

Frederik can Eeden and marquis d'Hervey de Sai...Image via WikipediaBy Vijay Agrawal

Dreams may not be real but they are a reality of life. Very often you are left totally terrified and you suddenly wake up to realize that it was just a dream - yet the fear and panic are very real. Sometimes you wish for something to happen and it materializes in dream. You wake up to find that nothing has changed and you wish the dream could have lasted longer! This is the unreal reality of dreams.

Dreams are both a barometer of your emotional health and a natural process of emotional release to provide you opportunities for self-healing. They are symbolic indicators of your current behavior pattern and emotional state that require correction. Sometimes the pattern gets resolved when the dream percolates into the waking state and you knowingly or unknowingly adjust your response. However, the art of lucid dreaming gives you full control on the script of your dreams.

Can you take charge of your dreams?

Would it not be nice if you can take control of the state of dreaming just as you control activities in your waking hours? If you think that it is difficult or not possible - you are wrong. In fact, you can easily learn to take charge of your dreams. In order to understand that, first read this basic but useful information about the role and importance of brainwaves.

Your brain controls all your mental and emotional states; whether we you are dreaming, sleeping, thinking, worried, tense, or relaxed. And the brain in turn is controlled by different brainwaves depending upon what you are feeling and doing. The brainwaves connected to dreams lie in the theta region, 4 - 7 Hz; the delta waves (1 - 4 Hz) prevail when you are fast asleep. When you are active and waking your brain will be dominated by alpha waves (7-13 Hz). This information will help you understand how to create awareness in dreams in order to control them.

The art of lucid dreaming

When you are sleeping your brain goes into the low frequency realm of delta brainwaves. When dreaming starts the brainwaves go into the theta region. So, what can you do to become alert but still continue to dream? The trick lies in developing expertise to pick up some alpha waves whereby you are awake, and then quickly falling back to theta state of dreaming. So, now what has happened is that you are mentally alert and yet are dreaming! This is what lucid dreaming is all about. Brainwave entrainment beats make it extremely easy for you.

Brainwave entrainment music

Brainwave technology offers a convenient way to achieve it. There are music recordings of sounds such flowing river, rain, ocean waves, waterfall, gong, etc but are embedded with brain entrainment beats that are designed for lucid dreaming. These beats directly guide your brain to desired brainwave states. You can choose from three forms of entrainment: binaural beats are probably used most commonly and need headphone; monaural beat recordings do not require headphone and are more effective than binaural beats; and isochronic tone recordings, which are the most effective.

Learning the art of lucid dreaming by listening to music embedded with brainwave entrainment beats is going to be highly rewarding for you. By giving proper directions to your dreams, you can gain emotional freedom from a lot of unresolved conflicts manifesting through dreams.

Meditation and self-hypnosis have been the usual ways to go into the lower frequency brainwave states. But now advances in the brainwave entrainment technology have made it possible to get into any desired brainwave state easily, merely by listening to music embedded with some special beats. Among these beats are binaural beats, monaural beats, and isochronic tones. The later two are far more effective. They have been used gainfully for a diverse range of applications, lucid dreaming is just one among them. In fact, you can use them for enhancing creativity, gaining deep relaxation, confidence building, enhancing memory power, and so on.

Self-awareness is the foundation of every self-growth program and it is always beneficial to learn about various dimensions of self-awareness.

Astral Travelling: Enhanced Possibilities with Binaural Beats

17th century representation of the 'third eye'...Image via WikipediaAstral travelling is the kind of experience that can profoundly change one's perspective of life. It certainly did change mine: a little over ten years ago, when I began to experience a series of spontaneous out of body experiences and lucid dreams, my outlook on life and my place in the universe was redefined.

It is one thing, of course, to imagine what it would be like to go through walls as an un-material entity and another to be actually experiencing it. Going through walls is only the beginning though. People undergoing out of body experiences report a wide variety of occurrences that range from meeting other beings not manifest in usual physical reality to having "astral sex" while in that state.

This series of experiences ten years ago seemingly happened without my conscious involvement but now that I want to induce astral travelling consciously and at will I'm finding the process to be a more difficult one than I would have thought.

Adepts of astral projection can literally train and practice for years before getting to the point of enjoying significant conscious control over the bringing about of such experiences? let alone having command over the out of body adventures themselves.

Thankfully, it is possible to get a big helping hand in the conscious exploration of astral travel by the way of binaural beats (also known as brainwave entrainment).

Binaural beats are sound frequencies designed to influence the brain waves of the listener in a variety of fashions. An astral projection binaural beats recording gets the brain to generate frequencies between 4 and 7 Hz (theta waves) the same frequencies that the brain would be producing during any out of body experience.

By gently having the brain enter theta mode using binaural beats, it then becomes possible to exit the physical body much more easily.

This may seem a little strange at first but it is a safe tool: binaural beats were discovered over 170 years ago and have been extensively researched and used since the 1970s.

Best of all, they work remarkably well! They literally can make the difference between success and failure in your exploration of binaural beats as it did for me. Using them still requires you to relax deeply and possibly use an exit technique or visualization to get out of the body but this process is dramatically facilitated by the binaural sounds.

Binaural Beat Your Way To Happiness

Many people seek money in life and strive to get their desires by setting goals and making plans. Others feel that they need strong lasting relationships. In fact for every person on the planet there are different goals, aspirations and dreams. But what these people are seeking is not the money, relationship or goal fulfillment. Every one of us is seeking happiness and we believe that we will get this happiness through the attainment of our desires. If you are truthful with yourself you will see that it is not the thing itself that we want but the feeling that we believe the thing will give us - happiness! But what if there was an easier way that could by-pass all that hard work?

Welcome to the world of binaural beats!

Feeling happy happens in the mind. We have all heard the old saying "one man's meat is another man's poison". This simple little statement really does encapsulate the difference between people in the world. One situation, event or thing can be a blessing to one person yet a curse to another. For example leaving in a one-bedroom apartment may be bad for an American family of 4 but for a family of 6 living on the streets of Calcutta it would be a blessing.

But, being human we all have certain things that are common to us all. One such thing is our brains. All human brains work the same way. Although we may hold different views and have different attitudes towards things in life and the world our brains work in very specific ways - ways that are generic to the entire human race.

By using this understanding scientists have created binaural beats which are a form of sound technology that can be used to train your brain to produce certain brainwaves which in turn produce chemical reactions in the brain that create specific emotions and mental and physical states.

For many years now scientists have been working to identify the brainwave patterns that are associated with many different emotional, mental and physical states. Scientists have identified almost all of these states and the brainwaves that are associated with them. In itself this is interesting but not very practical. However, when you understand the power of binaural beats this information becomes much more practical.

Knowing which brainwave patterns create which emotional states, from anger to love & happiness, it is possible to create these brainwave patterns by using binaural beats. Binaural beats can be used to create deep relaxation, aid restful sleep, produce more creative ideas, and retain more information and a multitude of other things. Are you aware that binaural beats can even be used to create the exact brainwave patterns that have been shown to release endorphins in the body to relax you and make you feel happy?

What's more if these binaural beats are used regularly for about 30 days the new brainwave patterns become a permanent feature for you. Now this is not to say you will be walking around happy all the time. The brainwave states associated with happiness that you have developed through the use of binaural beats just becomes a habit. So, just as you can get into the habit of feeling sad, or looking at the negative side of life, you can also get into the habit of feeling happy and looking for the positive in everything - all through the use if binaural beats!

To gain this increase in positive feelings in your life, through binaural beats, all you have to do is listen to some special sounds through stereo headphones and watch as your life begins to change!

Brainwave Entrainment - Your Key to Success

While there has been plenty of technical analysis behind the technology that is brainwave entrainment, there has not been sufficient literature to point out exactly why it can be anyone's key to success. While it is good to continually educate a growing population of internet readers, it is also good to continually remind them about the excellent benefits of this technology and the fact that anyone and everyone has the power in their hands to reach out and grab a piece of this self-evolution.

This article was also written because of the simple fact that there are still people out there that have no clue about brainwave entrainment and its accompanying benefits. What is this technology that has been gaining so much popularity over the past few years? Brainwave entrainment is using sculpted and engineered audio signals embedded in music tracks for the express purpose of invoking a cortical response, often called a frequency following response in the brain.

When this happens, according to the variations of the frequencies introduced into both ears, the brain will then fire its neurons to match the frequency and thus place the brain within a specific wavelength state. The reason this happens is because it has been found that the brain operates in different wavelengths that determine, in turn, to how optimally the brain operates. For example, plenty of us are walking around the high beta state ranges, which have been associated with an extreme amount of clarity and mental focus.

This is because we are awake and have the necessary tools we need to operate in the day. The mind is constantly active processing gigabytes of information and our levels of concentration are really very high. The direct opposite is of course the delta waves, with are normally associated with deep sleep - which has in fact been associated with tenets like advanced healing and the greater release of growth hormones. It has been said that those in this state are in the basic life giving state of the body, where cells are replaced, renewed and the bodies immune level is very very high. So, with the technology of brainwave entrainment, you do not need to be asleep to gain the benefits of delta level brainwaves.

Brainwave is the fast track that you need to be a success because in the big picture of things, the brain operates in more than 5 levels of wavelengths, each with their own supporting super functions. You can be more creative, more alert, absorb more information and learn new languages all the more easier at any time you need.

All you need to do is to expose yourself to the sculpted engineered audio frequencies for a span of time and soon you will have those abilities at hand. For this very reason that you have limitless potential and the key to unlock it whenever you want, brainwave entrainment is truly your key to success and the success of everyone else in the world. The internet has made this technology truly accessible to the masses, so there is no reason why you shouldn't take advantage of brainwave entrainment today.

Who Else Needs To Find Out About Brainwave Entrainment?

Brainwave entrainment meditation is just wearing a music headset and listening. It is so easy… but is it? Can brainwave entrainment meditation be as effective as it is professed as being or do you think it only a hoax? Does brainwave entrainment meditation impact our brain cells, stimulate our thinking potential, improve each of our problem-solving capabilities and creativeness or could it be only in our imagination? The answer then is it is not just a farce, and yes it does exist. Next are a few of the reasons that will more deeply impress an acceptance on these statements:

1. Brainwave entrainment meditation just is not an art form. It is a tried, analyzed, and proven technological fact, that is certainly considered to work and do wonders for humanity. Not going through the whole process and claiming it to be a fraud could be the absolute height of immaturity.

2. When you evaluate the scientific effects, items like the different types of waves inside our head and in what ways their fluctuations have an impact on each of our day to day activities is plainly known. Exactly how brainwave entrainment meditation has an impact on those waves is also realized.

3. Brainwave entrainment meditation makes the mind operate in a manner that makes you a lot more aware of the power and potential in your thoughts. This is certainly a fact of which we're not generally aware but… it is technologically proven.

4. Brainwave entrainment meditation resembles performing exercises. Exercising lets you develop muscles and feel healthier, whereas comparable benefits are accomplished for your mind utilizing brainwave entrainment meditation. The effects are only able to be sensed and observed, additionally, the results are not obvious as they are using workouts.

5. Mozart is recognized as a master or one of the best concert music composers on earth. Lots of people have said that they are transported to another world whenever they hear Mozart's music or music of his contemporaries like Strauss, Bach, and Vivaldi. This sensation can properly be referred to as brainwave entrainment meditation.  Just how do we proclaim it is brainwave entrainment meditation when we are not engaging in anything at all but listening to music? Exactly what does this say? Once the symphony music pieces were taken for examination, it was subsequently scientifically proven that there was clearly a significant difference in the frequency of one's brainwaves each time a person heard that music. Now did Mozart compose this music concerned about the brainwave entrainment meditation result his music would have? No, he constructed it only for the love of music. What happened associated with brainwave entrainment meditation was just a favorable side-effect.

This certainly should clear up any of the suspicions of people that believe brainwave entrainment meditation is a lie, because a fact is typically discovered inadvertently and its effects are verified scientifically, but a sham is done and propagated by dishonest minded people who have nothing to prove but would like to generate extra income, and trick normal men and women.  This is certainly one reason such shams are never scientifically confirmed. If you are even now not convinced, then you are the person who looses.

Things You Might Not Like Related to Brainwave Entrainment & Things You Definitely Will

How binaural beats would sound after being pro...Image via Wikipedia
Brainwave entrainment meditation is only putting on a music headset and tuning in. It's so effortless… but will it be? Can brainwave entrainment meditation be as beneficial as it is believed to be or is it just a scam? Does brainwave entrainment meditation have an effect on our brain cells, stimulate our imagining ability, increase our problem-solving skills and inventiveness or can it be just simply in our imagination? The answer is that it's not a charade, and yes it does really exist. Coming are some of the causes that can even further stamp an authority on all these promises:

1. Brainwave entrainment meditation is just not an art form. It is a tried, tested, and validated technological actuality, which is considered to give good results and do, wonders for humanity. Not experiencing the entire procedure and proclaiming it to be a deception is the ultimate peak of immaturity.

2. In the event you check out scientific effects, such things as the unique variations of waves inside our head and how their particular fluctuations directly affect our own daily activities is clearly known. Exactly how brainwave entrainment meditation has an effect on those waves is in addition realized.

3. Brainwave entrainment meditation makes the mind function in a fashion that makes you more mindful of the strength and potential in your mind. This is certainly an issue of which we're not commonly knowledgeable but… it truly is technologically confirmed.

4. Brainwave entrainment meditation is comparable to working out. Physical exercise helps you build muscles and come to feel stronger, while equivalent results usually are reached for the brain utilizing brainwave entrainment meditation. The effects can only be felt and enjoyed, and the final results are not obvious as they are using workouts.

5. Mozart is known as a pioneer or one of the best symphony music composers on earth. Many people have said they are moved to a different realm every time they hear Mozart's music or music of his contemporaries like Strauss, Bach, and Vivaldi. This experience can easily be referred to as brainwave entrainment meditation.  Just how could we assert it is brainwave entrainment meditation when we are not really undertaking anything but enjoying music? Simply what does this say? Once the symphony music pieces were taken for analysis, it absolutely was scientifically established that there was clearly a substantial difference in the frequency in the brainwaves each time a person listened to that music. Now did Mozart construct this music taking into consideration the brainwave entrainment meditation effect his music would have? No, he composed it just for the love of music. So what happened in connection with brainwave entrainment meditation ended up being only an advantageous side-effect.

This absolutely should clear the doubts of people that believe brainwave entrainment meditation is really a deception, because a truth is frequently uncovered accidentally and it is benefits are confirmed scientifically, but a deception is created and spread by crooked minded people who have nothing to demonstrate but only desire to bring in more cash, and trick common individuals.  This is one reason such shams are never scientifically confirmed. If you're even now not convinced, then you're the individual who looses.

What is Binaural Brainwave Entrainment?

Binaural beats are those frequencies originating from the brain that get stimulated whenever there is a difference in the frequencies of the tone that is heard through the left ear and the right ear simultaneously. The binaural beat that originates from the brain compensates for the difference in the frequencies caused by the music to which we are listening. This method of stimulating the binaural beat from the brain is known as Binaural Brainwave Entrainment. Do not interpret the word 'beats' to be some strange drum beats or the ones that we hear in our regular music. These beats are essentially the ones which originate from the mind. The tones that we hear are just an external stimulus to initiate the stimulation. The tones that are heard for this stimulation activity are primarily measured, flowing, slow and calming in nature. These tones are usually a combination of Indian traditional music used in conjunction with some electronic synthesizers. The disciples of this discipline called binaural brainwave entrainment do not look at it just as a piece of science but look at is as a therapy. They believe that binaural brainwave entrainment has therapeutic qualities and has the potential to prevent and cure a lot of diseases. In this article, we'll not look at the diseases that could be treated with binaural brainwave entrainment but look at what are the different binaural brainwave entrainment waves and history related to binaural brainwave entrainment's discovery.

There are primarily four types of waves that keep fluctuating inside our brain. They are delta, theta, alpha, and beta. Each of these waves has its different purposes and frequencies. If we look at the delta wave, the frequency range essentially is .1 to 3 Hz. This wave is associated with a state of deep and dreamless sleep. The theta wave has a frequency of 3 to 7 Hz and this wave is associated with day-dreaming, imagination, inspiration, recalling old memories, etc. Next comes alpha wave which has a frequency of 7 to 13 Hz and is usually associated with people who are in a state of relaxation, calmness, etc. Meditation is usually a state related to alpha waves. Beta wave is the most active of the waves and it has a frequency range of 14 Hz. This is the state when the person is more active and awake.

Now let us look at the history of binaural brainwave entrainment. The field of binaural brainwave entrainment was discovered by Heinrich Weilhelm Dove in 1839. Sadly no one paid attention to his work to give it necessary exposure. Several years later, another person called Gerald Oster submitted a short article on binaural brainwave entrainment to a particularly popular publication in 1973. Though it was not entirely a unique article, as it was a kind of a mixture of independent research information on binaural brainwave entrainment, people liked it for its uniqueness and the innovative way in which it was put across. The people who read and went through the article thought the article to be strong enough and made it as a basis for further research. That is how the whole concept of binaural brainwave entrainment came into existence. Binaural brainwave entrainment has come a long way from then and now has become an immensely powerful medical tool.

How Brain Wave Entrainment and Binaural Beats Can Improve Your Life

In our daily life, it is difficult to avoid stress as stressors are everywhere. The stressors can be found in your home, school, work location or in the middle of a field. Though it is expected to experience stress as it is part of our daily life, being under severe, chronic stress can result in physical illness. Stress can contribute to high-blood pressure thus resulting in cardiac problems. This is why people with cardiac problems are always advised to remain quiet and avoid stressful conditions.

Stress may also lead to Gastro-intestinal problems, palpitations, back ache, insomnia, poor immune system and even mental illness. Thanks to the latest advancements in technology, we can easily reduce this stress and live a normal and peaceful life. There are different ways of relieving stress; the most basic being deep-breathing exercises and natural relaxation. Some may use drugs that will assist them in getting the relaxation they need. Some may use cutting-edge machines to reduce or relieve stress. What many do not know is that with one simple device alone, we can easily be relieved of stress. This device is none other than our mp3 player, iPod or any music players.

With the latest binaural beats recordings available in stores today, we can easily be relieved of stress. Simply combining two frequencies into one sound will create these binaural beats that can stimulate brain wave entrainment. However, mixing two tones is not enough, what we need are two tones with a slightly different frequency. One tone may be slightly higher or slightly lower. They must be only "slightly" separated for if you make the two tones too separate from each other, then you will not achieve brain wave entrainment.

Achievement of brain wave entrainment may result in stress relief, sleep induction, improved learning, increased creativity, and the ability to accomplish things you did not even believe you could do. The effects of binaural beats are truly remarkable and impressive. You may find the tone by itself very tedious, but publishers of binaural beat recordings have created a combination of sounds that sound just like the rain, bells, waterfalls and gongs.

Still not interested? Well they have also mixed these beats with some extra sounds that you would not even notice such as subliminal positive affirmations. There are also software programmers who have made programs that you can download and install on your computer to create these binaural beats by yourself. Some even sell their recordings as an aid to meditation, relaxation and self hypnosis. You may also find some keychain-sized gadgets that produce these types of binaural beats. There are plenty from which to choose. The use of binaural beats is better than any drugs that you may take because there are no contraindications. There are no adverse effects and best of all; it is cheaper than buying drugs. Create your own binaural beats now, or buy some recordings and upload them to your music player and you will enjoy a truly relaxing day.

Binaural Beat Entrainment Explained

After hearing all the news on television about the increasing price of crude oil, the increasing unemployment rate or some unpleasant storm coming into your neighborhood, one can sure end up in a foul mood. Add to it the pressure of your workplace, your relationship problems and family problems; and you will undoubtedly be out of sorts especially if you have a low-coping mechanism. Maybe you just need a break or a period of peace and serenity. It is extremely common today to experience stress from different sources it may be at your own home, work place and even just out on the streets. It is extremely hard to cope with this stress.

Though there are many different ways of relieving stress these days, one of the most powerful and cheapest ways is by means of calm relaxation and some breathing exercises. Are you in search of a fast way of relieving stress? A little known technique of relieving stress is through the use of binaural beat entrainment. Sounds complicated right? Well actually this is not a terribly complicated way of relieving stress. Additionally, binaural beat entrainment not only relieves stress but it also induces sleep for those with insomnia, improves learning and creativity and recharges your emotional batteries causing you to be refreshed.

But what is a binaural beat? Binaural beats are auditory brain stem responses caused when you listen to sounds from both of your ears using headphones. These sounds are not normal sounds the sound is composed of two tones with one tone having a higher frequency and the other having a slightly lower frequency resulting in a slightly out of phase tone. You may perceive it sort of like a warbling sound or pulsating effect. If the tones are in phase with each other, then it will not result in this effect. Also if there is a sizable difference between the frequencies of the tones, then it will result in just an ordinary sound with two tones playing. As you may imagine this sound is not real entertaining listening. That is why binaural beat publishers create sounds like that of the rain, waterfalls, bells, gongs and other sounds where the beats are hidden by an additional sound resulting in the listener's unawareness of the beat but still having the same effect on the brain.

Today, software programmers have created computer programs that can be downloaded and installed on your computer so that you can easily create your own binaural beat recording. Also available are small sized electronic gadgets that can produce binaural beats. You can even use your iPod or mp3 players just by downloading recordings of these binaural beats. Binaural beat entrainment has lots of benefits to provide. It aids in meditation, relaxation and even self hypnosis.

Using Binaural Beats For Meditation

Beating of two frequenciesImage via Wikipedia
By Trevor Johnson

If you're looking for ways in which to improve the ability of your brain to process and strengthen itself, there are a number of different techniques which exist to do just that. One method for doing so is using binaural beats for meditation.

Binaural beats as an effect were first discovered way back in 1839 by Prussian physicist Heinrich Wilhelm Dove. Basically, what they are involves so-called "apparent sounds." These are actually auditory processing artifacts, which are created normally through a set of stereo headphones. These headphones, when placed over the ears, produce two tones, one in each headphone. The tones are presented in separate waves and slightly different frequencies. For example, you may hear a 1,000 hertz frequency tone in one ear and a 1,500hertz frequency in the other ear. The difference between the two frequencies must be slight, and is usually less than 30MHz or the effect of a beating tone will not be perceived by the subject.

In this way, a beat is set up, and the brain can be influenced by the synchronization of its brainwaves to the beat created by the tones. For purposes of meditation, the jury is still out, but it's generally felt that such a usage to help increase the power and quality of meditative techniques could be positive and may have several different beneficial effects.

When using binaural beats for mediation, try to keep a few things in mind. For people who have difficulty in concentrating enough to engage in traditional forms of meditation, the use of binaural beats may greatly lessen the amount of time needed to be skilled enough to engage in productive meditative techniques. It acts as a shortcut, in other words. And if you need quick relief from stress you can simply put on your headphones tuned to those beats and the synchronization of your brainwaves that results will put you into a relaxed state in no time!

Be wise when using binaural beats and always watch for signs of negative stimulation, such as the brain locking subconsciously onto a distracting pause or interruption rather than on the synchronization of brainwaves that is supposed to occur.

By Greg Frost

Change your mind for the better with brainwave entrainment, a technology that has taken the personal development industry by storm and has improved the lives of thousands of people all over the world. This number is steadily growing as more and more people are realizing on a daily basis the true power of the brain and how they can release this veritable untapped power for their own advantage.

You can be this person too and the good news is, the technology is readily and widely available on the internet and offline as well, at a cost that is not prohibitive, and such methods of therapy are hardly restricted to time tables and lifestyles. In fact, it can be as easy as plugging in your digital music player and finding a quiet corner for about 20 to 30 minutes a day. It is that simple and once you and people around you realize that this is the new gift of the 21st century, only then will you be able to capitalize on life and jump over hurdles in life higher and higher.

This article will brief you a little more on what exactly brainwave entrainment is and how this technology can help you to realize your true potential and see the world like never before. The results can actually be breathtaking as you discover your ability to learn faster, be more creative and have a level of mental control that is both unsurpassed and sometimes unbelievable.

Brainwave entrainment, which is also known in some circles as brainwave synchronization, is the practice that causes the brain frequency to fall into sync with a stimulus that is periodic and introduced to the auditory response agents of the human body. This is called a frequency following effect and can be traced back to the cortical of the brain, which is responsible for the firing of the billions of neurons in the cerebral cortex, a method of communication of both hemispheres of the brain as well as the very source of this new power.

The very basis of this technology is to force the two hemispheres of the brain to synchronize the two halves of the brain so that it exists, for a time, within a single brainwave frequency. Science and medicine has discovered that certain frequency ranges within the brain can be associated with super states or peaks of performance within the brain, which means that when properly activated, you can have the power to learn more, learn faster, be more creative, have more mental focus or be relaxed. This technology has also the power to slip the mind into a meditative state and allow the subconscious to be more pliable to external modification and reprogramming, which is especially useful when trying to kick bad habits and addictions.

You can literally change your mind for the better with brainwave entrainment and all you need to do is to identify what part or talent you want activated, popping in the CD with the engineered binaural beats and sitting down and letting the magic happen.

The Need For Guided Meditation

"Gathering the Light", Taoist medita...Image via Wikipedia

By Edward Randolph

Human beings are social animals and need interaction as part of their daily lives. In this interaction, there is stimulus and reaction and there is always active participation. But there are times there is an overabundance of this cycle to the effect that the mind and body fails to adequately respond. When this limit is reached, there is a need for a slowdown for recuperative purpose and this can only be achieved through guided meditation.

Guided meditation is the activity where the social being is put on hold and the individual chooses to be alone to reflect on personal well being. This is achieved by removing the person from the setting of being the interactive with others to a place of solitude and being by yourself is not already meditation. The person needs to slow down the brain and concentrate on personal processes, like breathing and awareness to achieve the meditative state.

Undertaking meditation is not an easy procedure to achieve. There are just too many retained stimuli in the brain so despite the solitude, the brain still is interacting with retained stimuli. This is the importance of guided meditation comes in. By concentrating on the voice or the single stimuli for meditation, one essentially blocks out all the other matters. In achieving this, and following the given instructions, one can achieve a meditative state.

This practice though is not achievable at the first try. Often, you need to adjust a time for the exercise. Once imbibed, the recuperative effects on the mind and body are achieved. Meditative exercises help in keeping the mind and body fresh and attuned to personal well being. Over time, one can do this without assistance, so take time out to do this so you can be better for yourself and others.

Maximise Your Brain Power With Brainwave Entrainment Technology

Sinusoidal waves of various frequencies; the b...Image via Wikipedia

There are two things in this life that many people do not know about their own brain. One of them is the fact that there are two aspects of consciousness that are actively 'aware' on a daily basis. One of them is the conscious mind, rife with all the defenses of logical thought, rational processes and critical thinking - which allow us to go through life not reacting to everything based on emotion. This job is left up entirely to the subconscious mind; a part of us since we were born that takes orders from experiences and associations to determine our reactions, our phobias and who we are as individuals.

These two form a symbiotic and separate existence - yet they cannot function without another and through the various stages of life, each aspect of these consciousnesses has taken on a role. In our early childhood, the subconscious mind took the place of educator and learner, where we as children would understand events and happenings around us through emotion and association, the two main pillars of function within the subconscious mind.

As we get older, our conscious mind began to develop the functions of critical thinking and rationale thought, which meant we were able to dissect experiences with logical thought and understand them with a detached learning. While emotion and association will always be there, the effect will not be as a strong as it was before. However, all the associations, fears and phobias (and other character developments) that has happened during childhood has retained and will pass on through adulthood as it maintains its cyclic life cycle within the brain's subconscious memory and instruction banks.

The other thing that we do not know about our brain is that it produces patterns based on electromagnetic frequencies that sensitive equipment can pick up easily. These brainwave patterns have been found by medicine and science to be associated with several peak performances of the brain, which can include better learning, higher creativity, mental focus, relaxation, accelerated healing, growth hormone level increases. These are just some of the applications of specific brainwave frequencies and they can be evoke with entrainment technology like engineered sub sonic sound or through visual stimulation like the dream machine.

The applications within the personal development industry have been enormous and the responses to this product have reached monumental levels. Thousands of people all over the binaural beats, brainwave entrainment, guided meditationworld are gaining better brain power through the use of brainwave entrainment technology. More and more research is being pumped into the brainwave entrainment technology and as of now, the most popular form of the technology is CD's that use engineered sounds embedded into relaxing music to evoke a cortical response within the brain and align the two hemispheres to a frequency that is desired.

Anyone can use this technology because of its relative affordability and the ease of application. Just look online and you can find quite a few good products to help you boost and maximize your brain power and live life like you have never done before.

Guided Meditation For Beginners

Description unavailableImage by Gattou/Lucie more there in we... via Flickr

By Sarah Freeland

Guided meditation is great for beginners. This allows you to know, think and feel what you're supposed to be doing while meditating. It's a guided way of proper posture, correct breathing and what thoughts and feelings to let sit or pass. You can so this in a group session, someone reading a guide to you or by listening by audio.

For posture, you want to be sitting in a comfortable position. Not so comfortable that you'll fall asleep, but enough to let your whole body relax, making sure your not leaning to one side or the other.

You're breathe should be full complete breathes. When you inhale, make sure you fill both lungs and diaphragm as much as you can and still be comfortable. When you exhale, try to make it an even exhale. Making you're breathes equally coming in as going out.

When it comes to thoughts people have different opinions on what the mind should be thinking. I would say it all depends on what you're trying to achieve during your meditation. One way is trying to keep all thoughts from your mind. That can be very difficult to do considering the mind never stops. You have to just let each thought go as quickly as it came, trying not to hang on to anything for to long. The other way is keeping good willed thoughts in mind all the time. This will allow you to focus you meditation in the direction you want it to go, letting you control what you're thinking and where you're going. It may be very difficult at first, but don't give up all good things come in time and with practice.

The three popular types of yoga you may have heard of are hatha yoga, power yoga and bikram yoga. Hatha yoga is the style of yoga most practiced today. It is what you will think of when you think of yoga in general. Power yoga is a more aerobic-style yoga, with an emphasis on cardio. Bikram yoga is a style of yoga performed in a heated room to accelerate detoxification. Universal Yoga sells everything you need to practice these and other forms of yoga, pilates and meditation including [http://www.universalyoga.com/]meditation CDs, [http://www.universalyoga.com/yogamats.html]yoga mats, workout clothing, meditation cushions, uplifting apparel and yoga DVDs.

The Wonders of Binaural Beats

Heinrich Wilhelm DoveImage via Wikipedia

By Greg Frost

One Heinrich Wilhelm Dove could be considered the father of binaural beats, having discovered them way back in 1839. Research on binaural beats followed soon after that and to where it is today in the scientific and personal development industry, the technology and the issues around it remained somewhat of a scientific obscurity until 134 years later, when one Gerald Oster published an article entitled "Auditory Beats in the Brain" (Scientific American, 1973).

Oster's article was a landmark one. It sought to rediscover the wonders of binaural beats and through his exhaustive research, identified and assembled the lost sands of research that had been lost and left behind since Dove, offering fresh scientific insight, coupled with great laboratory evidence on the applications and tremendous potential of binaural beats.

What followed suit was a rediscovery on the use of binaural beats as an effective tool as a diagnostic and cognitive research as well into the areas of neurological development. At first, it was used to mainly discover the hidden secrets of the animal kingdom and how the animals located sound and how they focused on sound that was sometimes even beyond human ranges of hearing.

At first, when the attention of the benefits of these beats was turned to the human subject, it was a medical presumption that they would be used as a diagnostic tool for medical research into either brain impairments or mental developmental disorders. It was then discovered that the actual sensation or recognition of these beats appeared to have originated from the superior olivary nucleus of the brain, which meant it was within the cortical of the brain stem.

With this discovery, it was then that the term frequency following response was coined, when it was found that the cortical of the brain had the ability to control the billions of neurons within the cerebrum to fire in tandem an electromagnetic frequency capable of achieving superior functions of the brain that normally would not be available for self utilization.

What happens during the process of brainwave entrainment through the use of binaural beats is that certain parts of the brain that are either inert or not activated are then called upon. These frequencies allow these sections of the brain to come alive and thus give the end user accelerated functions that they would not normally have.

While this technology is contentious and there has been some conflicting scientific research on this, it has been proven by peer reviews and research studies that binaural beats work to a tee. Users who have been subjected to the therapy with visual stimulation and affirmation have noted that they experienced an almost euphoric perception of themselves and are able to attack problems with more zest. They also indicate better performance and a better tendency towards retaining information.

The various frequency ranges range from delta to gamma, in order of lowest to highest frequency ranges and have associations with meditation, accelerated healing, mental focus and high levels of creativity; just to name a few. These are just some of the wonders of binaural beats. [http://www.mindmaximus.com/freecd.html]Click Here to get your Free Success Accelerator Brainwave Cd today!
